Proclaiming Christ

Proclaiming Christ

"so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His wonderful light." 1 Peter 2:9

The desire to share the Good News by which we have been rescued is one of the commands that the Holy Spirit puts in our hearts when we become believers in Christ. However, that desire is frequently overshadowed by a sense of being unprepared to convey the gospel to the world.

Colossians 1: 28 We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ.

Channels of Christ Ministries Evangelism Track is a nine-week evangelism training course that prepares believers to share the gospel in a clear, intelligible, and faithful manner. This Ministry will prepare you to more truthfully "proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His glorious light" (1 Peter 2:9) to those in need.

When the Apostle Peter was attempting to define what it means to be a Christian, he revealed God's motivation for preserving a people for His own ownership. God has redeemed Christians, according to 1 Peter 2:9, "so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His wonderful light." We worship a gloriously gracious God who has forgiven our faults and gratified our spirits. Because we adore Him, we want to "proclaim His excellencies" to everyone who would listen. (Matt. 28:18-19; Mark 16:15; John 17:18; Acts 1:8; II Cor. 5:18-20; I Pet. 1:17; 2:11).
