Area of Operation and Target
The Coast region of Kenya is composed of six main counties which include Kiliļ¬ County, Kwale County, Lamu County, Mombasa County, Taita Taveta County, and Tana River County. These hold a total population of 4,329,474 people as of the 2019 Census report. This includes a total of 2,147,457 males and 2,181,931 females. Furthermore, we have an urbanization rate of 2,392,880 rural and 1,936,594 urban people. This number represents the breakdown of age groups for persons being 0-14 years, which is 1,719,098, 15-64 years at 2,463,169, and 65+ years at 147,053. The need for proper doctrine teaching and training is based on the fact that the religion person stands at Catholic, which has 401,421, Protestant at 920,465, Evangelical at 651,492, Other Christian holds 459,839, while the Islam religion takes the bigger share of 1,578,170, Hindu at 7,185, Traditional at 41,540, Other religion at 41,716 and No religion at 176,456.
